Sundays in My City - Ruff!

"Bark in the Park" is a fundraising event sponsored by our local Humane Society. The 19th annual Bark in the Park dog festival was held yesterday in Forest Park. Sponsored by the Humane Society of Missouri and Purina, it is a benefit for the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Fund, dedicated to the investigation and prevention of animal abuse. Dog lovers from all over show up in costume, with props or in their birthday suits! (The dogs show up in their birthday suits, not the owners!)

It's a day of exercise and fun for both owners and dogs and is a win-win situation for everyone. There are exhibits, talent shows, and some "impromptu" dancing.

We don't take Tootsie to this one... She just can't "get along" with others.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your Sunday is great!

I don't know where you live, but I'd say the progress of YOUR season that falls between winter and summer is just about the same as our progress here.

The header picture is just loverly!

Liz--I was at Bark in the Park (I volunteer for Love a Golden, and was manning their table in the rescue tent).

I missed meeting you at Listen to Your Mother, if you were able to come. I'm sorry---if you came, I hope you enjoyed the show.
